Choosing Tube Lengths
All the length of the tubes on our site are quoted as the Overall Length. This is the total length of the tube from end to end. As the end caps that go with the tubes push inside them at each end, the Useable Length will be slightly less.
As a guide, please see below the length you need to deduct from the Overall Length to work out the Usable Length on any given diameter, once Both end caps are inserted
- 50mm diameter – deduct 26mm from the Overall Length
- 76mm diameter – deduct 28mm from the Overall Length
- 101mm diameter – deduct 30mm from the Overall Length
- 152mm diameter – deduct 36mm from the Overall Length
- 203mm diameter – deduct 38mm from the Overall Length
- 254mm diameter – deduct 48mm from the Overall Length
- 303mm diameter – deduct 48mm from the Overall Length
Other sizes in between will be similar
When requesting a bespoke made tube, please let us know the Overall Length you require.
With all manufacturing processes in the paper industry, there are machine tolerances that need to be taken into account, so we would suggest you add an additional 5mm onto the Overall Length to compensate for this.
