Retail Approved Scales

Deciding if you need a Trade Approved scale will depend on how you sell your goods.
 
If you either buy your stock in or manufacture your own goods, and then sell it by weight – either loose or in your own packaging, you will need a Stamped Trade Approved Scale.
 
If you get an inspection from Trading Standards or Weights & Measures, you will need to show them that the scales you use to determine your pack weights are stamped and approved and legal for trade use.
